Social media and networking the Gen 65 and older.
Social media is here to stay and many will use it to network. However, if you do not have a computer, or access to the internet, what should one do?
Many younger generations have no problem with social media. Many of the 65 and older generation did not need computers for their work and did not see a need in learning how to use it. It can be frustrating for them when told to check out a company’s website.
Options for the 65 and older crowd include learning to use computers or having an assistant to aide them with computer needs. Many webservers offer free emails to be used. With assistance an older person can have an email set up and then periodically checked by another person. This will help adult children when information needs to be sent to their parents.
Best option. Call on the telephone or go visit.
