Wasting money on cataracts.
During your visit today with the eye provider, you were told you had cataracts starting.
The eye provider explains that when they are “ripe” they will be removed. But the time frame is not the same for everyone. It might be some time before this surgery happens and sometime might mean years.
During this time your vision will get blurry and colors will not be as bright. You may notice everything seems darker. Be sure to use more lighting at night to see.
The other consideration is your glasses. Often, after surgery for cataracts, there may be a change in your vision. Vision may be 20/20 to a slight change in your prescription for your glasses. Post cataract surgery most notice colors are more vibrant again regardless of vision change.
Therefore, wait to get a new set of glasses until after cataract surgery. There may not be a need for your glasses or the prescription will change after surgery.
