It isn't about quantity, but quality. Many ignore the "diamond in the rough" only to want it later when it is polished. While diamonds are rare, there are many rough diamonds in the polishing process.
Recognize that rough diamonds are care free, hiding nothing, and limit stress in their lives by limiting choices. They do not need a room of shoes, they need good shoes for the job. Rough diamonds focus on personal growth, accomplishments, and outcomes. The end goal is the focus. Getting to the end goal may take some strategy and creative methods. If something does not work, they re-engineer the problem to find a solution.
Time. It takes time for rough diamonds to become the polished gems others want to be like and often ignore until they gleam in all their power and glory. This says a lot. How invested are you in seeing your ideas, goals, and solutions become outcomes? One day, months, years, or decades? Depending on your efforts, you may end up with a rough diamond or a polished diamond.
