Bipolar: Crisis Alert
Bipolar clients can go into a crisis alert. This is when a bipolar person has become either very manic or very depressed. If the client is thinking of harming their self, seek help.
Bipolar individuals in crisis may go to the local emergency room for help.
Call their providers for care.
Call 911 or ask a friend, family, or bystander to call on your behalf.
Call the toll free, 24 hour hotline to talk to a trained counselor.

It is recommended to not leave the client in a crisis alone.
