Mental Health Help
There may be times when the world becomes overwhelming to an individual and they need to seek help. Start with your provider. Providers are often able to help refer to mental health services where individuals can get help with medications, pain, and other community services.
It is not a bad thing to ask for help if you need help. It can be hard to reach out but it is the first step toward getting the mental and physical help you need. Many times providers will do a physical exam and blood work to rule out any diseases or deficiencies in the body that can be corrected. Then the referral is made to the mental health service.
Should the individual feel that life is too overwhelming, have a plan for self-termination, or considering acting on self-termination, call 911 for help. Go to the local ER for help. If with someone who is not safe by themselves, call 911 or help them to the nearest ER unit.
Mental health is ongoing and many areas have services for the community to help individuals in need.
