Sandwich adult will find that they are not quite ready to sign up for Medicare but will need to know about the ins and outs before it is time.
Whether to retire sooner or later may be influenced by health or finances. Regardless, at age 65, signing up for Medicare will allow every participant a well visit checkup. This will help providers know what the adults’ baseline was to compare for future visits.
The adult will need to begin making preparations for this time but will need to evaluate their health care before this time as well. An annual visit to a provider for a health assessment and blood work will be needed. Any age appropriate shots or booster shots should be noted. Including information if there are newborns in the house and preventative/booster shots give to the new grandparents.
Chronic conditions before age 65, may result in seeking out community assistance or companies that home deliver supplies, built ramps, or other services, such as transportation. A good resource is contacting your local council on aging or government agency. Many have resources and contacts that may provide help prior to 65.
