Thanksgiving and Pets
There is a long time story…near legend now…about how Grandpa rescued the dog named Snowball, who got choked on leftover Thanksgiving turkey. Grandpa then proceeded to save old Snowball from his gluttony by invoking his own technique of CPR with a bit of intubation using a ladle.
We are going into the fourth generation of this story now but it serves to warn the younger generations that pets can become distressed with the massive leftovers or foods that are not meant for their consumption.
Do be cautions with plants and food around pets. Know that CPR is a technique that needs to be modified with animals but can work. There may also be 24/7 pet hospitals if needed.
And…Snowball went on to live a very long and stupid life. Happily with a tummy full of turkey.
